Birthdays are important, and we aim to pay respect to those we hold close to our hearts. It’s no different if movies are the objects of our admiration.
When we decided to create C&B 2025 FILM CALENDAR LIMITED EDITION, we wanted to combine practicality with passion and chronology with admiration. We chose to develop the best possible calendar for cinephiles: a beautifully designed, unique mixture of data and art we’d be delighted to hang on our living room walls. With C&B’s calendar—appropriately subtitled Calendar for Cinephiles—each day is a celebration of an important film released on that specific day; each date is the birthday of a culturally, aesthetically, or emotionally significant piece of moviemaking.
As we head deep into the 21st century, with gorgeous films being produced on a weekly basis, we feel it’s crucial not to forget all those films that enriched our lives, helped shape our worldview, and brought the filmmaking art to the point where it is now. This calendar is bound to do exactly that. Let each new day be a reminder of past glory—the world of cinema deserves it.
MORE ABOUT THE CALENDAR
Our 2025 wall calendar is currently available in A2 size (420 x 594 mm). As such, it’s in perfect shape and form to be put up on a wall in your office or living room.
Each month features an original, fascinating design by Geminianum design, the incredibly talented artist whose portfolio includes countless gems and even C&B’s official logo, and equally talented illustrator Sara Kern Gacesa. The movies featured on each month’s header were specifically chosen not only because of their beauty or significance but also because of the fact they celebrate a particularly important anniversary—be it their 20th, 30th, or 60th birthday.
There’s no place on the Web with this kind of extensive and precise data, which is why we poured months of our work into creating it.
Each page of the calendar is also embellished with an inspirational, educational, or simply amusing quote by some of the most influential people from the world of cinema—every quote carefully chosen to honor an individual who also celebrates a prominent, round anniversary.
As we stated, each date is an anniversary of at least one important film. For some films, we chose to celebrate their official release dates; for others, we decided on their premiere dates, the latter of which is spelled out in bold letters.
FUTURE GOALS
As we found such delight in curating this fascinating list of films, we hope to start a new tradition: each year to create a fresh C&B calendar with new featured movies, unique quotes, and an updated list of anniversaries. As we try with everything we do, we’ll strive to become better with every new edition. With time, perhaps we might produce the most practical love letter to cinema ever imagined.
